End of Life Care Education

Learning about palliative care is crucial as it equips individuals with the skills to provide compassionate, holistic care to dying patients, improving their quality of life. Additionally, understanding palliative care principles helps clinicians effectively manage symptoms, support families, and make ethical decisions in end-of-life situations.

Palliative Care Curriculum for Undergraduates (PCC4U) project provides free resources to educators and learners to assist in the transition to clinical practice, as well as further professional development.

The Proactive Identification Guidance helps clinicians identify patients nearing the end of life to provide proactive, person-centered care, thereby improving planning and reducing crisis hospital admissions

PEPA is a national palliative care project which focuses on the education and training of healthcare workers, and delivers programs for healthcare providers. They offer palliative care placement in palliative care services, or in workshops. They also offer online resources for educators and learners.

A Dose of Grief acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live, work and grow, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We celebrate the diversity of Aboriginal peoples and their ongoing connection to culture and contributions to both healthcare and deathcare.
